Don't forget that Julius Caesar was never an emperor. Augustus was the first (who screwed up the calendar by adding an extra day to August after he changed its name to honor himself).

To keep on topic, "Jersey" (as in "New Jersey Transit") is an alternate earlier English form of "Caesar," which makes New Jersey the only state named after a Roman leader.
