It's not cheaper if you are taveling from a place like Riverhead to let's say "Central Islip". It's probably faster and cheaper to take your car, even rush hours, as traffic to and from Riverhead is not all that bad. It's only west of about Islip that road traffic becomes unbarable at rush hours.It depends on the vehicle, but I still stand by what I said in that the Railroad is cheaper in most places. Also, you haven't addressed how the people are getting from the "Central Islip" train station to the work site. Suffolk Transit, or in the case of Deer Park and Bethpage walking. |
