I heard from ABC News that a 68 year old woman was struck by a train. Nothing else known except there will be some disruptions in Metro service. I don't know where it happened at this time.She was not struck. She fell from the Glenmont platform at Gallery Place at around 9:25 a.m. She was removed from the track bed and take to hospital. Service was resumed shortly there after. From Dr. Gridlock blow by blow blog blog: "Metro says a preliminary investigation shows that the woman fell on the tracks around 9:25 a.m. but was not hit by an approaching train headed toward Glenmont. She has been taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries." John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
