Real motormen don't need the "marker meter" on the side ... you know when you'll hit it. :)

As to using real subway stands with BVE, BVE offers three modes of operation - keyboard, joystick, and a special toy "operator panel" which was sold only in Japan. Instead of keyboard, set up BVE to use a joystick.

Went and bought a cheapass old joystick just to get the USB circuit board inside it. Joysticks use two 100k ohm potentiometers, one for X axis, one for Y axis (and others I don't need).

Arnine controller has a bunch of switch contacts. So I took 3 33k ohm resistors and wired up the controller handle to shunt each one from 100k ohms (power off) to zero ohms (ramming speed) ... wired up the reverser contacts, and then took a separate 200k potentiometer for the brake stand since I only needed about 1/3 of full rotation there. Controller is X axis, Brake stand is Y axis, hooked it all up to the USB board and voila! YOU can do it too! Moo. :)
