See the how it curves east north of the proposed 55th St station?  That is your increased capacity to Roosevelt Island. We can call it the U train. The U train will run local on the QB. If no new infrastructure is built to accommodate this route, it will terminate at 179th St. That's 25tph (15 for the F and 10 for the U) through Roosevelt Island. Now Roosevelt Islanders just have to wait 10+ years and then get their politicians to lobby the MTA with a service increase proposal that makes sense. |
