A Stupid Question about a walkway |
|
Posted by streetcarman1 on Mon Jun 18 16:40:49 2007 As most of us subway fanatics know, the reason for the closing of the underground walkway from the IRT station(1,2,3) to the 6th Ave lines on 34th Street was due to security issues. My question is this. Why did they not to REDESIGNED the walkway without any of the shops and just make one long corridor like what they have else where in the system? I mean, there some good examples of long straight walkways that are open 24/7. Could it really be a money issue? Plus they could install hidden cameras all over the place. |
