Well, okay, I was talking about when I'm headed towards Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan. Which is where I'm usually going to anyway. But even for Midtown it's not bad. Easy enough to transfer to East and Westside express trains. The crowds on the Q.B. lines suck, J train gets you a seat, most times. And (this is less logical) I happen to like passing through the old Brooklyn neighborhoods. I like going by East New York and Bedford and Stuyvesant and Bushwick and Williamsburg. Passing by Kew Gardens and Forest Hills and Jackson Heights and Woodside don't hold the same thrill for me. (Jamaica and L.I.C. are the only exceptions to this, community-wise)
