The logic behind this routing escapes me.Chris: You hit the nail on the head. There was very little logical about the Chrsytie Street Connection from the get go and we've spent 40 years trying to figure it out. However from a purely railfan persepctive it was "nirvana." WEe had so many interesting and conflicting routes and misroutes. Almost any piece of equiptment could turn up on any line. You were never quite sure what train would show up at what station or where it was going. (Sometimes the crew didn't even know). About the only thing we didn't see was a Standard on the Myrtle El south of Broadway. (Now that would have been news.) Larry, RedbirdR33 |
