Not everyone who enjoys all day fan trips is a 'pathological foamer'. Their behavior is theirs and mine is mine. I don't think it's my job to explain railfanning to the general public. I take pictures for myself and I'll leave the family pictures to someone else. I'm a seventies boy and I do miss the old cars. The new cars just don't have it, and speaking just for me personally, a quick overpriced trip to Coney Island is not enough. I could go to Coney Island or the Rockaways for all of two dollars. With all due respect the Transit Museum trips are nice for what they do, but for many the trips are only long enough to whet your appetite and leave you wanting for something more. And that's where the fan trips come in.
