Most likely more than that. Motorpeople get paid about $25-$30 per hr; bottom on the seniority list you might get about 20-30 hrs/week -- that's $32,500 per annum -- but that's only for part-time work. There is no such thing as a starting salary; if you are somehow able to get full time work as soon as you sign up, your salary would be a lot higher. Salary during training period (usually lasts about 2-3 months) is typically half what it would be if you were operating.

I don't know how MTA does their picks so I don't know whether it is possible to get full time work from day 1. It's usually not possible.
