I assume a bus garage analyst is an assistant to the garage superintendent. I suspect the range of duties required includes: analyze late arrival/absence employee statistics; produce overtime reports. Generate reports on on-time performance. Generate reports on parts and stockroom inventory, usage rates, comparative costs. Perhaps some level of engineering economy analysis for parts and replacement cycles. Perhaps they may even be required to calculate route cost recovery index or other such route-based performance measures and report them to central planning.I recommended this position in May to a former co-worker (engineering graduate) who specialized in bus service planning, but I don't know much of the specifics. A quick check at www.mta.info revealed no such posting -- presumably the position was filled. |
