But what was the Manhattan terminal for the M following the end of service to Jay Street? Throughout the sixties the Manhattan terminal for the No.10 Myrtle Avenue - Chambers Streets trains was of course Chambers Street. Effective on July 1,1968 these trains by now designated as "M" were extended to Broad Street. They remained a rush hour only operation until October 1969 when the "MJ" was discontinued. Thereafter service to Broad Street ran M-F from 6 AM to 7 PM. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
