All Brighton trains have to stop at DeKalb because they have no access to the bypass tracks. Coming from Atlantic Av they approach DeKalb on the newer north track and can take either side of the platform. This has been true since the reconfiguration of the DeKalb switches in the '50s-'60s. For a cross-platform transfer at DeKalb from a 4 Av Express (like the current D or possible Q), the express would have to switch to the local track just north of Pacific St. The express tracks from Pacific lead directly to the bypass.
