I see many posts by Mamdani-haters saying, he’s grandstanding because the Mayor does not control the MTA. For sure he doesn’t, but politics is the art of persuasion. He has votes on the MTA board, plus the ear of his new buddy the Governor, plus the “bully pulpit” of galvanizing public opinion. It’s well within his job description to advocate for this transit improvement. |
