I also have a couple of related questions. Around that time with the turnover of the Fulton St el to the IND, the C types became available and since they had the original trucks and were already able to operate where 10 ft wide cars operate, why weren’t they assigned to the Fkln Shuttle? Also when Fulton closed there was talk of sending the C types to Myrtle, but with their “skirts” they were too wide so the idea was dropped. My question is why couldn’t the TA have simply removed those skirts from the cars so they would have been able to fit on Myrtle? |
