I wondered why the TA didn't salvage the Peckham motor trucks from the gate cars that were retired after the Q cars got sent back to the BMT and reinstall them on the Q cars. I guess the TA didn't want to spend the money to reverse the modifications that were made to accommodate the Composite motor trucks which provided poor performance which the Q cars were saddled with for the rest of their service lives. |
