The two track island platform with bumpers at the south end is known as "Hudson Terminal" At the Hudson Terminal part of the station, there was an island platform and a side platform. I don't recall trains ever opening to the side platform. The wall tiles said "H and M" (for "Hudson and Manhattan", the former name of the PATH system), while the pillars said "CHMBRS".
