What they should have really done was not only kept the EL, but extended it down Jamaica Avenue much like I would now do with the current (E) and (J) lines, doing it where the line went to around Queens Village on the LIRR (possibly even being directly above the LIRR tracks to that point) and then turned diagonally onto Hempstead Avenue and continued along that to a new terminal at Belmont Park that today would be right next to UBS Arena. 100% |
