I think more like their repsective cards will inter-operable on a pay per ride basis like now with MAetrocard. Although on PATH, you buy a number or rides on their Smartlink, not fora specific money amount, anda quantity discount.

The Montreal OPUS card is also good on Qeuebc's buses, though the fares are kept separate, as is EXO's and STM. The cards can handle 4 different transit accounts.
