In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary on the opening of the Eighth Avenue Subway the TA ran an “A” train from 168th Street to Chambers Street on September 10, 2007. The consist was 100-484-1575-381-401-1802.Actually, the train operated between 207th Street and Chambers Street-WTC ("E" train platform]. I was on the uptown bound run only, sitting inside R-7A/R-10 prototype car #1575 (naturally). And now, images from that day, including one with noted author and sports broadcaster Stan Fischler in front of R-1 car #100.             -William A. Padron ["City of New York"] |
