Willets Pt would probably have been on the original roll signs since the Flushing Line had rush hour locals terminating there. !48 St may not have been added on, but merely had “148” painted over “145” which was done on the some of the R-17s and up instead of installing a completely new reading. Gun Hill may have been there also since I recall a few mainline IRT subway trains terminated there in rush hours. Also initially, for a few years after the 9 Av el shut down, the remaining service operated between Burnside and Polo Grounds using 3 car trains of Composites until it was reduced to its final status as a shuttle to 167 St. |
