If West Hempstead had 200, they could well have lost half of it since, especially if they work on the 53rd Street corridor, and were already buying a Metrocard. It then becomes a free N6 bus ride as opposed to $270 for the LIRR, and no backtracking from 34th Street to Fifth or Lex Avenue.I didn't realize West Hempstead ridership, even pre-virus, was that low. Of course that $270 monthly fare doesn't help. |
