What would attract businesses there? Midtown has a "critical mass" of all kinds of businesses and services, including easy transportation to the surrounding suburbs. Transportation to and from downtown Brooklyn and the suburbs is not nearly as convenient, even if we're talking about the LIRR. Also, how many new office buildings are going up? That's not to say downtown Brooklyn is being ignored - far from it. |
