It reminds me of an episode of Law and order where a woman boards an R-38 train in Bkln, walks from one car to another, and the outside scene shows an IRT redbird passing in the tunnel. She does her deed on an R-40 and at some station in Manhattan I think W 4 St exits an R-32. Another Law and Order scene showed a passenger hit by an “A” train at W 4 St. The station was some sort of a PATH station with W4 St signs pasted on the columns and blue “A” decals stuck onto the sides of the PA cars. Some of the reruns of The Untouchables that are now showing on MeTV have shown trains of R-15s on the Flushing Line that are supposed to be prewar Chicago el cars. One episode of The Untouchables showed Frank Nitti being run over by a Chicago “subway” train that looked like a cross between an IRT World’s Fair car and an R-1/9. The first part of the scene looked like it was shot entering the IC/South Shore Randolph St terminal, however,he first true subway in Chicago did not open till 1943.
