Somehow, they managed to do that. Up to 1967, the BMT ran three rush hour trains over the Manhattan Bridge, as well as three more through the Montague tunnel. Specifically on Nassau-Centre services, you had: Jamaica expresses, Broadway-Brooklyn locals, Myrtle Ave expresses, Banker's Loop Specials, and West End locals.
