It has been in the past and I'm sure it will be in some cases in the future. But that doesn't change what has happened in this case. Making LGA a better airport, more convenient to the CBD, and able to handle its traffic (both human and airplane) more effectively would be a long term benefit to the economy of the city. But you know that the opposition to airplane noise from added traffic woild be a huge fight that most politicians won't have the stomachto take on. |
