Why would that have been the case since photos from circa 1949 show the “4 Ave” under the number 2 so why wouldn’t the 4 have “Sea Beach” under it. Also If I recall seeing somewhere, the R-1s and R-9s that went to the BMT at that time only had the BNT routes and destinations for the 4 Av Lcl spliced into the IND roll signs and no other BMT routes. |
