When I was a M/M in late 1969/early 1970 the 4 Av exp tks were also skeletonized to install type VIII (all concrete) roadbed. After a few years, the all concrete roadbed started to deteriorate the same as the type VIII roadbed on the 6 Av exp tks S/O 34/6. In the mid 1980s, roadbeds in both locations were replaced with modified type II which is what caused those delays.
