It was a bigger mess in the 80s because not only was 4th Ave ripped up, the north side of the Manny B drama was also happening. When I was working in Manhattan or going to GCT to get to Stamford, I was usually en route early enough that it was usually just about 10-15 minutes of delays. My typical trip home in the PM, however, usually was 90-120 minutes from 34th/Bway to 25th Ave. Sometimes longer. |
