I have never spent a dime at Walmart. As to home despot I consider doug fir from Canada to be "friendly" spending,and Roseburg plywood comes from Oregon. You are correct about some brands of electrical hardware--I tend to buy assembled in Mexico over made in China. The copper wire is manufactured in USA but the copper itself is sourced wherever is cheaper on the spot markets.
