I operated R38's on the M while I was a conductor in 1980, both 4 and 8 car trains.After I made motorman, I operated 8 car R38's before GOH on the on the Brighton M. They also occasionally ran on the QB. Both events happened very rarely, but they did happen. Keep in mind any car from CIYD could operate on any line because it was so difficult to make service. And speaking of odd assignments, once the M moved to the West End, I did operate a train of GOH'ed slants a few times. |
