Yup.
Anything that ran to make service was latched together to make a train for the QB/QJ trains out of Stillwell.
In most cases,the usual assignments for those lines were the R27/30/30a cars.
The 42s were added in 1969-70.
However, like I said,anything would be used.Like a few sets of 32s on both lines.
A R38 on the QB,or even a set of R1/9.

The ONLY cars that didnt make it east was the R38/40/40m back then.
The 40s stayed in Queens.
Never had QJ signs..
