The R38's before the GOH has brake release that sounded like a Bronx cheer. (I don't know the technical term). I once heard one leaving Woodhaven Blvd station, ran out of a store to see, but could not.

The D train's R1's never ran on the QJ, only the ones converted for ENY use.
