Nope.
Plenty of times I rode 32s on the QJ...each time it either had the newest roll signs (white letters on black field background) in the destination box...or the old signs using J Markers.
MOST R16/32/38s had the post Chrystie st signs to reflect the new routes and the R40/42 style of train identification.
