MLB pioneered the extortion of stadium funding from cities for the major gladiatorial sports. IMHO the only legit team in the majors (MLB,NFL,NBA etc) is the Green Bay Packers--which is a socialist operation. It is long past time to apply the RICO statutes to major league sports and turn the tables on the "owners" be they O'Malley or Davis (Raiders) Sports venues generate transit use and often become venues for large music and other entertainment shows.
