I forgot about the original black fiberglass the R44s came in with. The whole front bonnet is fiberglass. That black paint treatment did make their front look much more sleek in appearance, just like R-46's when new. Repainting the black mask area would be an extra step and the car would spend more time in the shop. I think I may have heard that black mask pint as raccoon face or raccoon eyes once. Can anyone say they heard the same ? Bill Newkirk
