I forgot about the original black fiberglass the R44s came in with. That was the best look the R44s ever had-that and the exterior door indicators for each door leaf when they lit up. But of course the TA had to screw that up too with the silver paint job.Unlike a lot of other people on this board I kinda miss the R44s. I've ridden them practically every year they were in service from my old home line up in the Bronx-the D, to when they followed me to Queens-the A train and in between like trips to relatives in SE Queens-F train. |
