As far as the folks on Queens Blvd howling about the R10s, they raised so much hell that they called the media-and the media showed up at 179th St, interviewed disgruntled passengers about having to ride in those grunged up hot boxes, then aired it on Eyewitness News. I couldn't believe what I was watching.Yep, those folks were happy with ther air conditioned R-46's only to be surprised of there disappearance, being replaced by R-10's with little fans to keep them cool !
