I was thinking of a scenario where, either because of an outage or because of more demand from Brooklyn than from the Bronx and Queens, it became desirable to run a train that came in from Brooklyn but then turned around and went back to Brooklyn rather than heading to the Bronx or Queens.When building from scratch it would not have been an absurd idea. Just last Friday B trains were turning around at 96/2 all day. Before the SAS stubway was completed, there would not have been any good place to turn those Bs and they probably would have had to cancel all inbound B subway service from Brooklyn. |
