The reason that the Bway colors were changed to the black on yellow was that when the new color scheme was adopted, the vendor who supplied the original colors for the N and the 6 was unavailable and the new vendor was unable to supply the exact same color so yellow was used. The first few signs that were installed were white on yellow but it proved too hard to read so the letters were changed to black. |
