Oh, I see that. But from what I'm reading here (never went there myself to see it), this signage lasted into the 1990s, while I think the last Brighton-Franklin train ran in 1963.

Outside of MTA-land, it would be considered unusual for signage to last 30+ years beyond its accuracy. I also know that the 111th St. Station on the 7 had signs talking about the Second Avenue El until 1989- the Daily News published a picture and had a small article. And I did personally in 1999 see the mosaics at 65th Street mezzanine (R train) advertising Rockaway service...so I guess 30 years of obsolescence isn't so bad.
