The default in a "free country" (like the one we were taught we lived in in Civics class in HS--not the one we actually live in) should be, as much info as possible available for citizens to look at. What data in thatdocument coul;d possibly be problematic for any of us to see???I am reminded of a comment in a railfan mag decrying the publication somewhere of reduced speeds on segments of a faltering RR. The mag opined the info was proprietary and might aid competitors as if anyone was naive enough to believe that deferred maintenance driven speed reductions could be hidden. The potential shippers certainly had a right to that data IMHO and why not everyone else? |
