Well, that is the problem isn't it? We whine about taxes because the overly rich have bought out of paying anywhere near enough so the working classes (there is NO real middle class anymore)are paying too much. Much of transit where I live is supported by sales tax--the most regressive tax. (and why do you think so many online places advertise no sales tax?) We need a return to the income tax rates of the Eisenhower era, a complete redo of healthcare, and total replacement of all of the pension plans with upgraded Soc Sec.Ah, well, that will all occur the day the full SAS opens, right? |
