a former elderly neighbor of mine, remembered culver service when it was exclusively el trains.

I have a photo, bought at an NY Div. meeting of a BU gate car train arriving at Coney Island terminal. The ads on the buildings probably put it sometime during the 50s so this may have been one of those rush hour el car shuttles due to BMT's equipment shortage (I've read of this before.)

I also saw a photo at a NY Div meeting that IIRC was a train of C-types at the Avenue U station on the Culver line. This must have been the service you wrote about above.

Unfortunately, I did not buy this photo.
