Jamaica yard was evenly split between the oldest (R-1) and newest (R-7a and R-9) cars in 1966. R-1 cars were having mechanical issues with over half the fleet out at any given time. The remainder of the R-1 would only see another three years' service after being shipped to 207 Street for "AA" and "B" midday service.wayne |
