If LIRR would charge more, people would pay more. At least collect say $75. or more for reserved seat parlour cars.My experience with Parlour cars on the LIRR, and dad's on the PRR are much less than stellar. Coach seats would be more comfortable. Let the Cannonball run as an all first-class reserved express, and run a second section "Weekend Class Tourist" in addition to regular commuter service. If the geese have so much money as to want to go out to the Hamptons or Montauk, there has to be a way to get some of it from them. ROAR |
