"The station is designed for thousands of people an hour all day long. It's real capacity will be very much under used for the first year or two. It won't get to it's true peak load until those towers start to open and people start coming and going full time. that was my main point in the on topic department before he started on his ranting and raving."

I remember back in the mid-1980's at the Jacob Javitts Center there used to be the huge PC Expo events that lasted a week. Then thousands of folks attended the computer fairs - with plenty of folks walking from the PC Expo 34th Street with their bags of computer items. The buses on the way to and from the PC Expo would be crowded. Inside the JJC all three floors were filled with exhibits and booths from hundreds of computer companies and suppliers. Often there was no way to explore all of the happenings in one day - requiring trips of 2 or 3 days to complete the journey. It was a fantastic time.

Now if the JJC could have such regular people-packed events after the new subway station opens, then the idea of a beautiful expensive "ghost" station will be averted.
