Some of the large trade association shows have had shuttle buses running to their "recommended" hotels, public shows have very large crowds walking over from the PABT, subway or Penn, the event rates for parking are very high. The best known would be The Auto Show, and the Comic Con. Boat Show is big, but the loading bay door size restrict some of the really big stuff from being exhibited so it's not quite what it used to be. They are multi day and have huge attendance. But there are some other less well known events like the bar exam that can bring very large numbers all at once. Robin Hood Foundation fundraiser is a huge event, but that would be a limo and cab crowd.
