Considering the amount of debate and consternation, and multiple repeated proposals on the forum to "expand" weekend service on Central Park West - you would think that the segment is handling huge amounts of riders! It clearly is not, as compared to the nearby IRT subway! Has it occurred to you the lower ridership on CPW might partially be due to the fact that it gets a C train every 10 minutes, when the 1 operates every 8 minutes and the 2/3 are on a combined 6 minute headway? |
