One time a train of R40 slants on the orange Q coming down from Manhattan couldn't gain access to the Brighton Line for whatever reason so it was sent via the West End and around Coney Island to get to Brighton Beach. The side roll signs stayed as Q but the driver changed the front sign to B (the West End service at the time). |
